Owner, Managing Director

I bring to the team 23 years of practical accounting and business experience, both in private and public sector which included working in the finance sector and accounting in the health sector.
The first 10 years of my career was working in my father, Frank’s practice which gave an invaluable grounding as the practice covered a wide range of clients and services and understood that business is about people and understanding individual values.
I am proud to have a team that values client service, recognises that individual needs vary, respects Targets core values, builds partnerships with clients and finds solutions.
Between myself and my partner, Annette (also an Accountant but as she says it, a “real one”, with her being a CA), we have 4 children, cats, dogs & chickens.
Every day I meet interesting people, I am always learning and I value the trust they place in my team as we work alongside them to grow their business and utilise the best systems to achieve their aspirations.

I have over 50 years of both commercial and personal accounting experience and continue to be involved with Target.
Commencing my career with AMP and obtaining Associateship status of both the Australian and New Zealand institutes of Finance and Insurance was followed by a tertiary education and 15 years as South Island accountant for Fletcher Construction, including 4 years as a project administration manager in the Caroline Islands, building an international airport (photo is in Justin’s office).
I bring a strong and practical accounting experience base to working with clients from all sectors, businesses and sizes including motels and restaurants, construction related activities, mining, hospitality, health, education and property. Over the last few years I have really enjoyed working with modern accounting software systems which are compatible with the majority of clients’ needs.
Senior Accountant – BCom CA – Rural Specialist

I joined the team at Target Accounting in February 2014 as a Senior Accountant and I thoroughly enjoy looking after a broad range of clients with their accounting needs.
A current member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants with over 17 years experience in the industry, specialising in Farm Accounting and small to medium business accounting.
I am currently mentoring 2 junior accountants through their CA studies and I love been able to use my experience to help them grow their industry knowledge.
I live in Mosgiel with my lovely wife and daughter and enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my family.
Senior Accountant – BCom ACA
P: (03) 489 0791
I joined the Target Team in 2014 after having worked for Chartered Accountancy firms in both New Zealand and overseas. I also have a teaching qualification and took some time out to teach when I was living in the UK.
Up until recently my spare time has been devoted to my 2 busy daughters, now that they have moved on from Dunedin, travel has become my new pastime.
I love working with Xero as it allows for a more streamlined processing of client financial information and the ability to produce up to date and accurate financial reports. I recommend Xero to all my clients as it is very easy to use and a useful tool, not just to crunch the numbers for tax, but to provide a real time solution to work towards revenue goals, monitor costs and identify opportunities for efficiencies in the business.
I enjoy establishing close, friendly relationships with all my clients, being part of their team, adding value to their businesses and seeing them achieve their goals.
HR Manager/Practice Coordinator – BBS
P: (03) 489 0799
I joined the team at Target Accounting in April 2014, after spending a few years out of the workforce to raise my young family.
I am proud to be part of such a dynamic, forward-thinking team of people who are passionate about delivering the best service possible.
My background is banking, having worked 15 years in the industry and I graduated in 2017 with a BBS from Massey University, majoring in Human Resource Management and I enjoy being able to offer support and advice to clients in this field.
My husband, Dean, is a local lad and together we have 3 busy children.
Apart from a 3 year stretch in Christchurch, I have lived in the Mosgiel area for over 25 years.
I joined Target Accounting in July 2014. I am married with 1 daughter, we live on a lifestyle property in North Taieri and have been in the Mosgiel/Dunedin area for the past 26 years.
Originally from the North Island I grew up in the Manawatu district, and have travelled extensively throughout North America and Europe.
Studying at Otago University, I graduated in 2000 with a BA in Education, and have previously spent 5 years working as a Counsellor at Taieri College.
I am part of the Admin team that works closely with a number of clients providing book keeping services, and assisting with debtor management. I also work closely with the accountants supporting clients who require assistance when working through situations that are not just number crunching or normal business, and need that social support, which the Target family really values.
Front Office Manager
I have resided in Dunedin for 30 years having spent a few years in Christchurch between innings. I spent my earlier years in the country, I am still unsure if I am a city or country person. Working in Mosgiel and living in Ravensbourne I still keep my country identity.
At home I live with Martin an officer for Fire and Emergency NZ along with our dogs, 2 Swedish Valhunds and Keischa our spaniel schnauzer, our cats, a Bengal and grey tabby, also chickens and parrots. My previous working roles were more back office support, managing credit control and staff training, the most recent role being with Anderson Lloyd, so I relish the opportunity in this role with Target Accounting Limited to meet and greet our clients as they come through the door or call on the phone.
My social life revolves around brass band, currently the past president of Brass Band NZ, still retaining a connection with my life membership, also as a committee member for St Kilda Brass. I have volunteered in our community since the age of 10 and am continuing to volunteer, currently working towards becoming a Justice of the Peace. In my quiet time I enjoy my lazy boy in front of the television, a quiet wine, Saturday brekkie with friends and the vegetable garden.
Accountant – BCom

I began my illustrious career in the minor leagues with a well below batting average but a very keen work ethic.
Back in 2014 I was at a low point in my career, couldn’t find a start like a wee Daihatsu with an oil leak. There were mentions of trades and a couple of free transfers on the table, basically I was as lost as a Northland rugby player trying to find the try line.
But then a scout with an eye for the finer details and low and behold, Target Accounting called me up to the practice squad to dip my toe in the water. Jump forward to today, I have been here ever since.
Moved from the practice field to the back up role and now enjoy the odd occasional cheeky start from time to time. I enjoy helping clients from their big jobs like end of year accounts to their multi options at the TAB (late night tennis gets you the $$$), I feel I have more to develop, strengthen the throwing arm, remember the bigger the tree the harder they fall, but I look forward to accounting challenges that I am given.
So, come in, say Hello, we can talk about your life and try our best to sort out any accounting issues that you have.
Accountant – BCom CA
P: (03) 489 0795
I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago in 2012, and have been working at Target Accounting since February 2013 as an Accountant.
I have recently become a certified Chartered Accountant, having studied while working over the last three years. This has broadened my horizons over all the Accounting disciplines and has advanced my skill set. I am experienced in tax accounting and enjoy working with people from a wide variety of industries and backgrounds. I am also very knowledgeable in a number of accounting software packages, having spent time using many different systems since I started at Target. I am usually the problem solver and provide Xero training to clients who are new to the system.
Born and bred in Dunedin, I have lived here my whole life. My wife Sophie and I purchased our first home in Mosgiel in 2017. This is especially handy, as we both work in Mosgiel.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching rugby, playing football and spending time with my wife and our dog Charlie. I have also recently tried my hand at home brewing craft beer, which is still a work in progress.
Accountant – BCom
Originally from Christchurch where I gained my BCom, I have spent time working as an accountant in Auckland, London and Christchurch before moving to Queenstown with my husband and 3 young daughters.
We are very active outdoors with running, and love the night skiing.
I joined the Target team in early 2015 and enjoy working on Targets expansion into the Southern Lakes District.
Being a new office I am dealing with a wide variety of clients, ranging from being involved in the day to day running of their business by attending to cashflow & debtors, through to year end taxation financial statements.
Accountant – BCom (Tax) MBA AFNZIM BEd DipTchg
I am from Rural North Canterbury but now live near the Beach in the Bay of Plenty and travel extensively throughout the North Island to meet existing clients and new clients.
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting & Taxation, a Bachelor of Education Degree in Research Methods & Human Development, Masters Degree in Business Administration, and I am in the final stage of completing the practical requirements to achieve Chartered Accountant Status.
I enjoy being part of the Target Family, building the North Island client base, focusing on delivery of service to clients, to benefit their business and lifestyles and accepting the trust clients place in us to manage their tax affairs and to advise on growth for the business.

I started with the Target team in January 2017 and also graduated from Otago University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in accounting. I am currently working towards gaining my Chartered Accountant qualification.
I grew up in Tapanui and attended Blue Mountain College and had my senior years at Otago Girls High School. Outside of work and study I play netball, I’m a keen surfer and enjoy running to maintain my fitness. I am enjoying being a part of the Accounting team at Target using my new skills utilising Cloud based software which has developed rapidly over the last few years, and continues be a great tool to provide great information to clients.
I also look forward to building relationships with our clients and understanding and contributing to their businesses.
Chris works doing Financial Reviews and Audits as well as Financial Modelling of business opportunities. He also has a passion and great understanding of incorporated societies and their audit and review processes.
Away from the office Chris has a keen interest in music particularly jazz and is learning to sing some of the jazz standards of the 1950’s. Some 10 years ago Chris became interested in philosophy and keen student of the writing of Thich Nhat Hahn.
I started with Target at the start of 2016 working part time after school and in the holidays, when not studying at Taieri College.
I have been part of the Target team, unofficially, a lot longer, helping out Dad and my Grandad where I could, counting paper clips and sorting the stationery.
I really like meeting all the clients, understanding their businesses and how I can help the team help clients with their business. Sometimes, when not filing or on the phones, I’m looking after clients kids while their parents are in meetings with the accountants.
I plan to be with Target while I continue my studies, working towards science and music qualifications and if I ‘make it big’ as a musician (bass guitarist and singer), Target will be my accountants and I highly recommend them for your business too.
I joined the team at Target Accounting in October 2014 as a Junior Accounting Assistant.
I grew up in the Mosgiel area, attending Taieri College and I am currently in my first year of study towards a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Otago with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance.
I support clients with Xero setups, company formations, data entry and help with a lot of the IT support for the accounting packages.
I really enjoy learning about the different types of business that Target services and look forward to assisting where possible.
